Welcome to the Center for Public Policy and Administration

The Center for Public Policy and Administration is the hub of interdisciplinary public policy research, teaching and engagement at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Our faculty teach and conduct rigorous research to realize social change and solve problems for the common good. Our classes are small, and the impact we have on our students and on the outside world is big.


2016 Washington D.C. Trip Rewarding for CPPA Students

Each year CPPA graduate students visit Washington, DC as part of the Professional Development Seminar or Prosem. The Prosem has become an integral part of both the MPPA and MPP curriculum.

Panel Series "Strategies for Change: Lessons from Springfield Leaders" to Start in February

Community leaders from the city of Springfield are coming to the UMass campus this semester for a series of four panels entitled "Strategies for Change: Lessons from Springfield Leaders." All panels will take place from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. on Thursdays in the Campus Center rooms 805-09. 

Bushouse Kicks off Spring 2016 Faculty Colloquium

Professor Brenda Bushouse will discuss "100 Years of Mobilizing for Children in the U.S." at CPPA's faculty colloquium on Monday, February 1, from 12:15-1:15 p.m. in Thompson 620. The event is free and open to the public.
