Research Interests: The interface between feminist theory and political economy, with a particular interest in caring labor and other forms of non-market work.
Nancy Folbre is author of "Greed, Lust, and Gender: A History of Economic Ideas," which is forthcoming in 2009 from Oxford University Press, and "Valuing Children: Rethinking the Economics of the Family" (Harvard University Press, 2008). She is a recipient of a MacArthur Fellowship. Her research explores the economics of "caring labor," a topic which she blogs about on her personal blog, Care Talk, and in the New York Times.
