umassamherst

UMass Amherst undergraduate students have the opportunity to complement their majors with an 8-course sequence in public policy and administration. Working with a faculty advisor, students custom design a course sequence to match their specific interests. Policy interests include education, health, environment, social welfare, international aid, science and technology or other areas of student interest. Public administration interests span all levels of government, as well as nonprofit, and international organizations. This flexible certificate includes three required courses (one each in economics, public policy and administration, and statistics) and five elective courses drawn from any UMass department. All of the courses selected can also be used toward the student's major or distributional requirements.
